Keep Blackstone Valley Beautiful’s E-waste Recycling & Fundraiser
Recycle unwanted electronics items.

April 12, 2008 from 9am-1pm at REI, 22 Chapel View Blvd., Cranston, RI 02920. Come drop off your electronics during their members-only Garage Sale. Sponsored by REI. People who recycle an electronic item will receive a 15% off coupon for one full-price item while supplies last. Exclusions apply, see coupon for details.

April 19, 2008 from 9am-12pm at the Town of Lincoln Highway Garage, 96 Old River Road, adjacent to the town hall. Sponsored by the Town of Lincoln. People who recycle an electronic item will receive a 15% off coupon for one full-price item while supplies last. Exclusions apply, see coupon for details.

Residents are encouraged to recycle the following items: CPU/computers, monitors, servers, keyboards, mice, inkjet or laser printers, VCRs, DVD players, stereo equipment, spare computer parts, laptops, network equipment, scanners, fax machines, cables and wires, aluminum, copper, rechargeable nickel cadmium batteries, cell phones or telephones. No alkaline batteries will be accepted.

The following items are assigned a disposal fee: TVs are $13, TVs in wood casings, $15, microwaves, $8, intact air conditioners, $13, toner cartridges, $4, home copy machines, $13, small backup batteries/UPS $10 and large backup batteries/UPS, $20.These events are sponsored by Green-Tech Assets, LLC.

A portion of the fees will be used toward future Blackstone Valley cleanups. Additional monetary donations are graciously accepted.
