Keep Blackstone
Valley Beautiful’s Fifth-Annual Blackstone Valley Tire Round-Up
May 17, 2008 from 9am-1pm
Smithfield Public Works Garage, 3 Spragueville Road,
Smithfield
This is a great
chance to get that old tire out of your garage! Residents from
the Blackstone Valley’s cities and towns are encouraged to bring
tires that they may have on their property. Disposal of rimless
tires are free and tires with rims are $2.50 each, used to help
fund the Keep Blackstone Valley Beautiful program. This
collection is for residents only and is not open to businesses.
Passenger tires from cars and light trucks will be accepted for
recycling. No commercial truck tires will be accepted.

Spring
2007 Tire Collection Results
The Tire Round Up was a great
success with over 700 old tires collected! The collection was
held in conjunction with National AmeriCorps Week and is also
part of Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup™.
Firestone Complete Auto Care in Pawtucket, the city of
Pawtucket, Bill’s Auto Parts, the town of Cumberland and Ann &
Hope partnered with Keep Blackstone Valley Beautiful to hold the
event.
