As a 50-plus year resident and having raised five children, all of whom benefited from our top-rated schools, Cumberland is a great community, in which to live, work and raise a family. We offer an abundance of green open space, recreational space for sports, walking trails, biking trails and pathways along the beautiful and historic Blackstone River. We are proud to offer many historic sites to visit in town such as Franklin Farm, located on Abbott Run Valley Road. As part of our open space, Franklin Farm is an historic farm with a great deal of history that continues to operate with the help of many dedicated volunteers. Because of their efforts, Franklin Farm is a leading supplier of produce to many food banks throughout Rhode Island. The farm also is recognized for its outstanding educational enrichment for our school students, impressing upon them the value that comes with service to the community. More
